Saji R-2 Custom Damascus Series

Master Saji has over 40 years of knife making experience. Also he is good business man who is sensitive to the market trend and aggressive for using the new steel material and new design of knives.

This time, Master Saji tried to use popular and reputable Powdered High Speed Tool Steel material so called with “R-2” for his traditional hammer forged knives.

As you see some of other popular custom knife makers such as “Mr. Itou” and “Mr. Tanaka” use this special steel. Our customers are always very happy with its high cutting performance and edge retention of R-2 steel knives.

Master Saji has produced two different blade finishes of R-2 Custom Damascus knives for your preference and selection.


One is a dark Damascus blade featuring more crisp and vigorous Damascus patterns to give you a visual joy, and it comes with Stag Bone handle and polished stainless steel bolster to match with the aggressive impression of the blade.

Another one is a delicate and elegant beauty with mirror polished R-2 Damascus blade, and comes with Desert Ironwood handle with polished stainless steel bolster and Mosaic pin to enhance natural texture.
